Target 2030 – Scope 1 & 2

Zero emissions target

Climate issues are a top priority for us, especially in the context of sustainability in industrial companies – reducing CO2 emissions is crucial. Since 2020, we have been measuring our carbon footprint for Scope 1 & 2 to identify targeted measures to achieve zero emissions by 2030.

Our measures to promote sustainability:
– E-mobility including charging facilities
– Use of 100% renewable energy
– Operation of an in-house photovoltaic system
– Use of long-life LED lighting
– Regular energy audits

Target 2030 – Scope 3

Reduction of indirect emissions

In 2022, we began recording the upstream and downstream emissions in our value chain to gain a better understanding of Scope 3 emissions and develop future targets and strategies for reducing them.

Our climate protection measures include:
– Promoting the use of public transportation
– Eco-bonuses for e-mobility
– Provision of e-company bicycles and bike leasing
– Extended home office options
– Reduction of business trips
– Optimization of transport logistics

We are actively committed to the sustainable and environmentally friendly distribution of our products and take responsibility for our ecological footprint. Although we take numerous initiatives and continuously improve our processes, CO2 emissions cannot be completely avoided yet – but we can offset them. To offset unavoidable CO2 emissions, we invest in certified climate protection projects. In collaboration with carbon-connect AG, we have calculated our corporate carbon footprint and offset all CO2 emissions by supporting climate protection projects. These projects, such as the Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project in Indonesia and the wind power project in Anthiyur, Tamil Nadu, India, promote sustainability in industrial companies by reducing greenhouse gases elsewhere and thus offsetting our carbon footprint.

We make the difference

Indutrade is a Swedish industrial group consisting of over 200 companies in 27 countries on four continents. As part of Indutrade, we see sustainability as an integral part of our business philosophy. We are convinced that responsible corporate governance is crucial for long-term, sustainable growth and profitability. For this reason, Indutrade signed the UN Global Compact in March 2019.

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest initiative for corporate sustainability, in which almost 10,000 companies from over 160 countries participate. The pact comprises a total of 10 principles relating to the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. It is a non-binding pact that is intended to encourage companies worldwide to take sustainable and socially responsible measures and at the same time report transparently on their implementation.

At Flowtec, we recognize that our parent company Indutrade participates in the UN Global Compact, and we support the ten principles and the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals and the UN’s broader goals. Our support for this initiative is fully consolidated as part of our parent company’s commitment. Therefore, we do not participate directly in the activities of the UN Global Compact or a Global Compact Local Network but remain closely linked to these goals through the common sustainability goals and measures of the Indutrade companies.
